Family Day at the Arboretum

Ready to start your day at the Dallas Arboretum with Nana, Sherry, Tim, Braden and Mckinley.
You were a little tired at first.

You finally got your second wind when it got close to lunch time. Nana was able to get a smile out of you.

You were so funny at the picnic. You were just right in the mix sitting on the blanket acting like a big boy. You smashed the chips, threw plates and tried to spill drinks but all in all you were great and we all had a good time. I love all these fun times you get to spend with your family. This is another reason I am so grateful that we live within 45 minutes of every single family member! The only person missing is Daddy but we make the most of his crazy schedule.

Homemade Play-dough

I tried to win the mom of the year award by making you homemade play-dough this weekend. The recipe was great and it turned out perfect. I got the camera ready and put you in your chair to play and was filled with excitement to see your reaction... well you hated it. You were grossed out and didn't want it on your fingers. You made a disgusted face every time I made you touch it.  I guess we will try again when you are bigger:)

First Day of Physical Therapy

You had your first physical therapy session today for your torticollis. You did great! No developmental delays at all, we just need to work on stretching and strengthening your neck. It was basically like an hour of play time. Your therapist is Katie Brown and you were so comfortable working with her. We will start taking you once a week for an hour session. It must have worn you out because you slept for almost three hours after it was over.

Sporting your "Brave men run in my family"shirt so you could be big and brave at your first therapy session.

This is the room you will be in next week. What's not to love about this place!

All Dressed Up

You were looking pretty good on Saturday for Ashley's wedding! Once we got there we really didn't see you again. The family passed you from person to person and you just hammed it up with everyone. Such a social butterfly!

9 Months

Now that you have the crawling thing down your new focus is pulling up. You haven't quite figured out how to get your legs out from under you to push all the way up but you are oh so close!

You have learned how to go from laying down to the sitting up position on your own which makes nap time interesting. Even though your exhausted you manage to sit straight up in bed and play.

Signing "milk" is now pretty solid for you so we are turning our attention to other signs like "please" and "more". In addition to "babababa" you know say "dadada" and "mamama". So cute but I don't think you understand what you are saying quite yet so I will hold on rushing to document your first word.

You have this new high pitched screeching sound that you love to make. Although most would call it the most annoying sound ever I think its hilarious! You also have this really silly crinkle your nose fake smile that makes us laugh so hard.

Tooth number 2 has popped up but teething still hasn't really seemed to phase you.

Happy 9 months growing boy!

(the days of you laying politely below your blocks are done. You were a hot mess during the 9 month shoot but it makes me laugh to see this adventurous/angry side)

(crinkle nose smile I referenced early)

 "I'm outta here"

"I'll sit but these blocks but I refuse to lay down"
