Cool Dude!

Lookin cool at the park with your shades and Peanuts shirt. Love love love watching you enjoy this great weather.

Incident at the park

This went down at Klyde Warren park. Deserved its own blog entry:)

Klyde Warren Park and Trolley Ride

This weekend the weather was nice and we knew we wanted to take advantage of your Daddy having weekends off right now. We decided to check out the new Klyde Warren Park and take you on your first trolley ride. The park exceeded our expectations. I have been driving by it for almost a year while it was under construction and thought it was just going to be some grass between downtown and uptown but it truly is a place where all types of people can come together. There were families, older guys playing catch, dogs, people dressed up on their way to go out on the town etc. It was so refreshing to see so many types of people old and young and of all races enjoying the space.

You had a blast walking around and following every dog you saw. We ended the afternoon with a trolley ride to uptown for dinner at Primos where you befriended the old guys at the table next to us. You never meet a stranger. Cheers to another great weekend of memories with you!

Walking hand in hand with Daddy. I will always cherish this picture.
Checking out the water feature. I cannot believe you stood so calmly next to it and did not run through it.
Waiting for Daddy to get out of the potty. Mommy never misses a photo-op

Playing with the bark on the tree in the kid section of the park.

First trolley ride. You were so fascinated to be in a moving vehicle not strapped into a backwards car-seat.

Dinner and drinks at Primos. I love how you just mesh with our lifestyle. You go with the flow and enjoy trying new things with us. Love you B!

My 30th Birthday

Well I had quite the surprise on Saturday. This Wednesday is my 30th birthday and I told your Daddy over and over that I didn't want a party. I didn't want to stress anyone out and I usually don't like to have big productions on my birthday. We got in the car to head to a quiet dinner as a family and ended up going to a huge surprise party that your Daddy planned for me. I was so shocked, excited and happy all at the same time.

It was amazing to have all of my friends and family together to celebrate. There was tons of food, great music, decorations, drinks and best  of all you got to partake in the fun. You, Hadlin, Braden and Mckinley had the best time running up and down the hall playing. You partied until 12:30am!!! We really underestimated your partying abilities on New Years Eve:)

Overall it was a great party and a night I will never forget. This party was the kick off to a great year!

Walking into the party. At first you hid your head in my chest but were grinning from ear to ear the whole time. You must have known there was a lot of fun in store for you!

 hanging on for dear life!
Me and aunt Sherry. So glad she was the photographer and captured this great night!
Decorations were awesome pics of me growing up:)
All of my friends from elementary school. 25 years of friendship!

So glad your great-grandma and grandpa got to come up to Dallas and enjoy the party.

NYE

You started off NYE by reflecting on 2012 and thinking about your resolutions for 2013. I can imagine them being something like this:
1. Stop playing with the toilet paper and toilet
2. Put my arms down when I walk
3. Stop crying when mommy and daddy drop me off at school
4. Do something about my stinky feet problem

 Wild child! Impromptu photoshoot

You look adorable in hats. End of story.
Getting the party supplies out from last year.

I made an amazing dinner consisting of toasted goat cheese salad, steak, garlic mashed potatoes and chocolate molten cake. You enjoyed the mashed potatoes and the dessert but stuck with cheerios as your appetizer and Gerber ravioli for your meal.

You also had a huge bowl of the mashed potatoes. You ditched the spoon and just shoveled it in with your hands.
Last year  you were only about 6 weeks old on new years so you were actually up for a feeding at midnight. This year we had to fake the countdown at 8:00pm so you could be part of it. You loved the horns and the hats!

We had lots of practices kisses before the big countdown!

 Silly Silly boys!

You closed out the night by rough housing on the couch with daddy and then having some down time with your toys.

Overall it was a wonderful night. I cannot imagine spending NYE any other way than at home with the two boys I love and sound asleep by 11:00pm.
